I have to admit it was fun ho'ing drivers again, but also frustrating. But reading reviews, researching, then finding a reasonably priced one, then having it show up at the door, then the anticipation the "this is the one" is definitely fun

Yes, Paderson shaft. I go back and forth with the HOF Express, Black Diamond and Paderson Velocity playing length shafts. The Paderson feels the best but this year I haven’t hit anything well. The 2 HOF were great last year. Just the last 2 days I stayed hitting the Paddy better... it IS the best feeling shaft of the 3.

The HOF Express is probably coming out of my G400SFT. We only got in 8 holes last night before the storm, but I am still struggling with this driver. Good drives seem to balloon and bad ones are either too far left or too far right. Not sure how I hit this thing so straight the first few rounds.

Typhoon It could be. I did build it at 45" and I have ALWAYS struggled with drivers over 44.5". I did try adding some headweight and choking down, but the results were still mixed. I have been struggling with my woods in general as even my 3 wood has been iffy. It's typical for me to start hitting my irons really well and then the woods are useless so nothing new.

I hit the range the other day and I was straighter with my Rogue which is 44.5" so maybe I should just match the G400 to the Rogue with respect to length and weight,

KCee 1/2” isn’t gonna make a difference. You were hitting that thing fine when you got it.... did you fuck around with the weights afterwards? Get it back to the way you originally had it with the HOF shaft. Make sure your not swaying off the ball, good tempo.

Typhoon No I didn't change anything. I have been struggling with my swing lately (well more of a struggle than usual) and the driver just magnifies it. I have always had horrible tempo. Tempo is probably my biggest issue, but I sometimes sway more than turn and I also get "handsy". Name something bad for a golf swing and I probably do it.

Typhoon Make sure your not swaying off the ball, good tempo.

Bingo. It almost always goes back to good TEMPO. Swaying is just a by-product of bad tempo IMO.
