If you're not putting money on the Patriots, you're putting money on the Birds. And if you're not - you've not followed the NFL this season.

The Patriots and the Eagles are easily the top 2 teams in the league through 11 games. Perhaps the Eagles are a couple points favorites currently given their defense. Otherwise it would be evenly matched.

That means nothing going into the postseason, however. Once the playoffs start - every game is a toughie, even for the best teams.

It'll be interesting to see how it unfolds. There is no team in the NFC closer to the Eagles than Pittsburgh is to New England in the AFC. Yet that still matters very little, outside of home field advantage.

Not sold on the head coach. The Redskins are a very good team otherwise. Surprised they're not putting enormous pressure on Philly to close out their remaining 4 games. Lots of really good players, yet they're underachievers @ 5-6. I don't see Gruden staying there much longer.

Then again, we are ultimately talking about Dan Snyder. Hard to be worse than Jerry Jones, but he is.

The Skins deserve better imo.

    DC300 Never said that, but even if, and that's a big if, the Eagles win the Super Bowl this year, they'll have a long way to go to be as successful a team as any of the other teams in their division.

        My dog is out of the fight (Broncos), so I have to tolerate SWMBOS's Patriot love the rest of the season. Remaining optimistic is a challenge. 😑

          sdandrea1 Lots of woulda, coulda, shoulda, but if Doctson holds on to a perfect pass at Kansas City, the Redskins beat the Chiefs.

          If ONE.SINGLE.THING had gone their way in the last 3 minutes of the game, the Redskins beat New Orleans.

          Then, 5-6 becomes 7-4, which sounds/looks a LOT better.

          They have also had a TON of injuries. At middle linebacker they had Mason Foster, and he was outstanding. Lost him to injury, and replaced him with Compton. Lost Compton to injury, replaced him with Spaight. Lost Spaight to injury. They guy they had playing middle linebacker last week I had never heard of before.

          They also lost their best all-around offensive player (Christ Thompson, who was both their leading rusher AND their leading receiver) to a fractured fibula during the game against New Orleans.

          Despite all of that, they have a chance to win out, IMO.

              They are a better team than the record shows, definitely. Letting the Saints back in that game was just dumb. They look good in most of their losses, but losses, nonetheless. Gotta learn to close out those leads.

                With regards to the Redskins being better than their record.......well, perhaps I spoke too soon. Hard to imagine playing worse than they did on Thursday night against hated rival the Cowboys. Wow. What a horrible excuse for a football game that was! Can't.unsee.it.

                  That had to be disappointing to Skins fans. They looked undisciplined. Sad to say the Broncos couldn't beat Granby High School. 😞
