  • New Tutleman article on Pinhawk real world experience

Good review Aaron. I trust Dave Tutleman's opinion from a clubmaker/fitters stance. With Dave at 78 I wondered how he would do with the long irons.

I've only played my Sterlings one round, but the only issue I saw was using the sand wedge around the greens. Most everything went past the pin. Yardages were in line with my conventional irons.

You have a winner in that design. I'm baffled at the confidence I have in the 5 iron I built to try. I hit it anywhere I get the chance. I intended it to try along side my 5 iron for comparison, my 5 iron is out of the bag, my 6 iron hasn't been touched since and I actually prefer backing off on that club to hit low shots in to the green where I would typically try to flight a 7 iron.

Once life / my financial security allows, I'm putting a full set together. I'm looking at next year at this point, but no doubt in my mind the single length concept is going in my bag as well.
