You can always try those tennis racket wraps, I use to use them on my wooden baseball bats.

It is not the same, this was actually part of the grips, but over the years it has started coming
off, it is a cloth like material.

Looks like an old Wynn Leather wrap. Haven't seen any like that in about 30 years.

    FauxAmish
    Wow, that hurts, 30 years???

Like I said it was a prize that was won at either DS1 or D2.

Winn sounds good but I have searched the web and clubmaker sites and haven't seen
a grip like this. In fact I am always looking on ebay to see if I can find a club with a
similar grip so I can buy the club re-use the grip.

It is the only grip I have ever held in my hands that felt natural, part of the hands.

My next step will be use some wrap materials but I know it won't feel quite the same.

I would like to see the business end of that thing please!!

That puppy has "character". I love that type of kneck in a heel shaft.

Martee Winn sounds good but I have searched the web and clubmaker sites and haven't seen
a grip like this. In fact I am always looking on ebay to see if I can find a club with a
similar grip so I can buy the club re-use the grip.

Martee, it probably isn't a Wynn, but it looks like one. Years ago I used to have a guy, since deceased, actually wrap leather grips. They had under-listings and definitely were not the slip-on already together grips like today. I always preferred the Calfskin ones, but they were pretty expensive. IIRC, about $15 per club in the mid-80's.

LBlack14 Yea carry clubs without those funny socks and in a small bag tends
to build character. I probably should have shined it up but if it aint broke don't fix it.

I forgot to show the secret component.... picture next

        5 days later

It looks like a leather wrap with swede finish. ( or tattered leather wrap )
You could get strips of swede leather and glue it on the underlisting or , I have leather wrap ( with adhesive side ) which you could replace the old skin with.
PM your address for leather wrap ( black , approx. 3' )

Tks everyone. The description of it being a suede wrap is right on . Going to other sire

Could also try a Brooks bicycle leather wrap grip.
