I'm not surprised at the THC findings, especially if he was self-medicating. I am surprised that he would be foolish enough to get behind the wheel of a vehicle and attempt to drive home under that type of multiple influences. Medical MJ is legal in the state of Florida, based on the latest review of their laws.

But... self-medicating would also hint that a prescription of MJ wasn't obtained, or so it would seem.

Again, he has a history of poor judgement, so this doesn't surprise me.

Tiger is finished. I think it's time for the fans and the media to move on. And perhaps it's time for Tiger (himself) to move on as well.

    Agree tgat he's done and has been for a while now....but when it's been all he knows, what he
    ( along with himself) And everything his life has been about since he was 4, he's probably struggling with those things and likely weighing on him. He's Tiger Woods, chances are he could win another tourney, but at what cost ? Crippled and needing meds to survive the pain.....this whole fall since the scandal has been quite sad

        I'm sure it's difficult for him to just walk away. But the odds of him being healthy enough to practice enough, to get back to a competitive level where he can play more than half a season without risking further deterioration of his back problem, is something that he's been forced to consider.

        I don't think even a healthy Tiger Woods can win another major. And if he can't physically put in the work needed to return to that level without risking his quality of life going forward, then I really don't see how he could justify that level of risk, especially with such little reward to come of it.

        Winning another tournament at Bay Hill won't impact his career, as unlikely as even that might be.

        Might be time for him to pursue some other avenue in golf, maybe become more active in his course architectural ambitions, if he wants to resume a life in the game. His days of winning anything significant in tournament golf are over.... his contributions outside of golf, however, are still there waiting for him.

        And too - quality time with his kids.

        While he can still manage to walk upright anyway.

          There are too many reports of people taking an entire pill and doing things in the middle of the night they don't remember.

          A colleague took her first one, and that night she got up, took a shower, got dressed and was getting ready to walk out the door at 4:00AM to go to school. Thankfully her husband woke up.

          I took a whole one and the next morning found the kitchen a mess as I had fixed an elaborate snack. No recollection of it. There was even food remnants in the bed.

          I'm with potbunker. I work shift work and take it here an there. But I had a buddy that took it every night. He once had to crawl up the stairs to get to his bedroom.

          This information about various sleep-enabling drugs mixed with other drugs and their side-affects are quite known and have been for years. If he'd struck and killed another person in his car, ignorance would not be a valid excuse. Especially when one feels entitled to self-medicate without the help and oversight of those entrusted in his care, regardless of the malady.

          The writing has been on the wall as it relates to his golf game....I would be shocked if he ever is contention in a full field event....been saying same/similar for years. Doesn't mean his life is over,hopefully he can find some other purpose/meaning into his life....you would think his kids are that, and I am sure they are, but they grow up fast!

              I'm thinking that the little woman hit much more than just a car window with that 9 iron. IMHO, he should get more involved with the course design end of golf and leave the competing to the "young guns" who are out there now.

              If I take a couple puffs of weed before I lay down, I'm out in a matter of minutes, sleep like a baby and wake up rested. I also have a script for Xanax and occasionally take it for sleep, but when I wake, I feel groggy for a while after. How the hell he took all that and was still conscious, is beyond me.

                Well he wasn't , he was zonked out at the side of the road and as the videos showed, a total mess for hours after.

                Have had pretty poor sleep and insomnia off and on for 3 years now, won't take sleeping pills....a MJ prescription might be what I try, catches up to u.

                    That does sound like a nasty mix! I'm glad he didn't hurt himself or anyone else on the road.

                    Hopefully he can dry up, get his health somewhat restored, and enjoy a good life for the many years to come.

                    Tiger is, for all intents and purposes, finished with professional golf. But there's another 40+ years of life awaiting him beyond golf, a life spent with his kids, a life spent being a grandpa and pampering grandkids at some point.

                    Hoping he finds his happily-ever-after chapter sooner rather than later.

                      I wonder who his inner circle is? Seriously, because somebody should be talking to him about life and how to live it in peace and serenity.

                            LBlack14 It's called "tolerance". It builds up over time and repeated usage. Seems he's been addicted for quite some time. Oh, btw, despite the poor judgment, I do believe we're aware that Tiger is an intelligent man. Quite easy for one to delude oneself; that they're in control of the drugs. He is fortunate because his number did not come up. Sad story.
