Suzann Pettersen has withdrawn from Solheim cup team. She has been replaced by Catriona Matthew.

Well darn on Pettersen's withdrawal. I was curious to see how the crowd in Des Moines treated her after her 'gamesmanship' bruh hah in the last event.

Wouldn't surprise me if the Euro's are up after the morning alt shot, Kang/Salas is a weak pairing, as is Ernst/creamer.... Kerr/Lexi looks solid as does piller/Lewis....I think the Lewis/Piller vs. icher/Matthew match will be interesting, on paper USA, but not like Piller and lewis have been lighting it up this year....that match may be difficult with some pressure if it's Euro's 2, USA 1 at the tail end of a tight match.

The Solheim Cup has no relevance to current women's professional golf. When originally conceived the US vs Europe was meaningful. Currently excluding Asian players from the vs team is just a method trying to keep the USA winning.

A better formal to have relevant competition would be to combine the USA and Europe against the Asian players. I suspect such a format would be an old fashioned ass kicking with the USA and Europe providing the ass.

Currently it's kind of like the Patriots playing Alabama.

The same with the Ryder Cup for the PGA. That is one reason they went to the Presidents Cup. I have been thinking they should have a similar Tourney including the rest of the world. Don't know what the division of countries should be but since there is not much interest in women's golf I would guess the Asian countries would need to set it up not the LPGA or the USA. The current Solheim Cup has been very competitive as the USA had to come from behind in the last one to win on Sunday.

They kicked azz in the afternoon matches....Salas was really good....and how about Kang continuing strong play!

sdandrea1 I wander if it is the match okay format where they think they have to give it a go...putts racing by the hole. I can see hitting shorter putts harder to take the break/guess work out if it, but mid to long putts makes little sense to me to hit harder then normal....seems to work the opposite the intent.

Super impressed with Hall and Nordquist....Lewis/Piller has been a lame pairing....both playing blah and Lewis can't seem to figure out the speed of the greens.
