I found out this week that this driver head (sold the shaft, Aldila Tour Green ATX 65TX) I got a couple weeks ago @ Golf Galaxy that I shafted up with the VS339 that "pdxhak" kindly gave to me was something special. After comparing it to the, known, retail BioCell I have I noticed slight differences. I measured it with my micrometer and it was slightly different front to back, heel to toe and face depth THEN I weighed it and found this.....

I then contacted Cobra and told them specifics and this is what they told me....
"It sounds like you have a Bio Cell Pro prototype head. They are more pear shaped and smaller in size. It is one of the best driver heads that we have ever produced. This clubhead has a more forward weighting in the clubhead and is lower launch and much lower spin. Congrats on the great find!! There are a few different versions of the proto heads. Let me see if I can go to the tour cage and see if we have any left over so I can have it measured."

I wanted to be sure so I sent them these pictures + a few more.....

And they then replied....

"That is a Proto Pro head for the Bio Cell Pro. Congrats!!! It looks exactly like the one that I have in my spare bag at home. You have gotten one of the samples that made it into the marketplace!! Testing is done by our Tour Pros, Local amateurs, our R&D team, our Iron Byron, and various other golfers. I cannot say who tested your exact driver. Normally we produce a handful of each protos for testing purposes (20-50) depending on model. I do not know exactly how many were produced in that colorway.

My name is ******* and I'm a product specialist, club fitter and customer service rep here at HQ."

Just thought I'd share. After all these years and gawd knows how many clubs that have went through here, I finally found something special.

BTW, it hits like something special as well.

Listening to Terrible Ted as I type this note. Congrats on the head if you ever tire of the VS339 shaft, try putting a Fuji Vista Tour in that head.

Now time to play the lottery.

Sweet! That's a great color also.
