GBB Fusion released in late 2016. It has kinda got lost with the Epic release. Reported to be the most forgiving driver Callaway had ever made.
My story. I went to a demo day that my buddy was working whom happens to be a Callaway rep. Honestly, my swing was absolute crap that day. I mainly wanted to try the Epic in a different shaft than what is in my Epic (Rogue Max s 65). I also wanted to try the m1 after I had great success demo'ing it at a prior demo day. I hit the Epic in multiple shafts and m1. I hit both ok but my swing was really off.
After deciding my driver swing was crap I then spent some time with Epic irons. Well, the iron swing wasn't any better.
So I decide I'm headed home and see a Fusion head cover. I ask my buddy if they were selling any and he tells me that most people wont even try it. He said too many show up with their mind already made up. He also said that those that he can get to try it, usually buy it.
As I result I had him set one up. Callaway Fusion 10.5* w/Recoil 450 at 44.5" and the 12 gram head weight.
That thing was perfect with a bad swing. I then started alternating between Epic and Fusion and hit the Fusion nearly as long with much tighter dispersion than Epic. As a result, I ordered a like new one on Callaway Pre Owned that came with head new in plastic. Sadly, it showed up with the 5g weight. I promptly contacted CPO and had the 12g weight about 4 days later.
In the mean time, the Epic performance has only gotten better since that demo day. The Epic is the longest driver I've ever hit in the course. As a result, the Fusion had not yet been to the course. That stated, I'm planning to play 9 with it tomorrow night.
Way too many assume this is a high spinning head. It isn't. I'd highly recommend giving it a shot.
