My wife stayed up late to watch the fight. I went to bed.
So she comes to bed, I wake up and ask, "how was the fight?" She said it was a controversial decision. I replied, "Aren't you glad you wasted 2 hours of your life watching it?"
It's not worth tuning into imo. The last PPV boxing match I bought was Tyson versus Holyfield when Tyson tried to bite off Evander's ear. I said never again. What a load of crap.
I refused to make a bunch of corrupt promoters even richer, and have stayed true to that ever since.
That corruption still exists... rest assured there will be a rematch, and even more money to be had. It has become the biggest sham in all of sports, even if it doesn't cost $49.99 to watch it on PPV.
And honestly, I feel the same way about Mayweather vs McGregor next month. It'll be an absolute joke, with all of the so-called "excitement" happening in the "buildup" the next few weeks leading up to the event. I'm sure it'll get great viewing numbers, but I won't be watching/contributing to the payout.
