As I sit here naked at my computer, I realize I'm carrying no cash... 'cause I have no wallet... 'cause I have no pockets... 'cause I have no clothes. Let that image sear into your brain for a bit. 
I usually try to carry around $50. I use a CC for as much as I can.
I carry less than $100 usually unless I am going to an event of some type and then I might bump it up a bit. Otherwise I use my card for most everything.
I pay for most things with a credit card, but I usually carry $60-160 in cash. I usually tale $140 out of the bank at a time and that usually lasts me a month. A lot of it goes to my 18 year old for gas, etc.
Outside of a rare online purchase, hotel reservation, car rental or airline ticket - I'm pretty much living a cash-only lifestyle. Fewer checkbook entries, lesser odds of fraud, etc.
And I'm actually spending less money that way, because a budget is only as good as knowing you have X amount of dollars and how long you have to make that last. With two kids in college - it don't last near long enough!

Vending machines take cards now. No need to carry cash anymore.
Usually $60 or less. That is the fast cash amount for debit card at ATM for my bank. After that, use the debit card for most things.

No set amount but if I have a friggin 20 on me I feel like Donald Trump. I've had the same money on me for 6 weeks. Yesterday I spent 6 dollars at the range

I usually withdraw $80-$100 and replenish when it goes below $20. I use a credit card for purchases of more than a few dollars. I prefer credit to debit because of rewards points and the ability to challenge fraudulent charges before paying them. The only thing I use the debit card for is withdrawing cash from ATMs.
Usually less than $50 unless we are going out to dinner then around $200. I rarely use my Credit Card for local purchases.
mcavoy I'll take out $20-$40 and use it to pay for incidentals like coffee or snacks and that lasts me a week or two. Most everything else I'll pay using a credit card.

We pay for nearly everything with one credit card that accumulates airline miles. We pay the balance off every month so no interest charges. We have not paid for an airline ticket in a long time.

No credit cards, and the only debit card is from Paypal, which is rarely used and generally only at a golf course for fees.
Not a fan of credit cards, or any kind of debt....we owe no one/nothing! A cash lifestyle ain't all that bad. Esp. in a concealed carry state!!
I carry anywhere from a couple of bucks in change to $50-$60.
With debit cards so widely accepted, I sometimes don't even realize I don't have any cash on me at all.
I wonder if this has affected the mugging industry.
