Sneakylong Eguller Any bets that the USGA will let the course get a wee bit firmer & faster tomorrow after today’s scoring. 🤔 Saw Chief Championships Officer John Bodenhamer last night and from what I got out of it was they’re not going to do much until Saturday and Sunday. Mother Nature gave a huge break to the late afternoon groups yesterday. That’s the only thing the USGA can’t control. My guess is if the scoring continues today they’ll ratchet up the difficulty big time for the weekend.
Typhoon I won’t watch any of it but I did see a tweet of maybe Rahm hitting a nice shot next to the hole only to have it take 5 minutes to spin back off the green, through the collar, down a hill somewhere in the fairway. So this type of thing that leads to high scores is what the USGA thinks is good? Thinks this is what people will pay to travel to see?? Is the membership THAT arrogant that they think anybody gives a shit if the winner is -1 or -20? Everyone knows the course is set up to make everyone look bad.
