Aside from Vegas and gambling interests … I can’t see any reason to expand the field. I guess I’m hung up on the goal of the event? If it’s to determine a National Champion… there’s no evidence to support weakening the field further. No champion has ever even come from the bottom 32 … what makes anyone think numbers 65 through whatever would fair better? It would just weaken the NIT field, and/or increase divorce rates 🤪
