jsippy73 I had driven many cars in my youth, including several race track training classes. Not all the Vette models but a few from the 70s into early 80s model. The guy who bragged was driving a Sting Ray small block, not today's super Vette, ok. Today's Corvette has models that will blow the doors off all other exotic models from all corner of the world. Would not want to own one. Can't afford it, can't afford the insurance and really don't enjoy going over 140 MPH any more and really no safe place to do this unless on a closed race track. Even at that, small critter might run across the path, as one of the first instruction we received was to ignore the critter crossing, run over it if can't be avoided. No time to do all those small adjustments when we're going over triple digit line. Think back on all the unnecessary risk we took when younger is still causing a few cold sweat sometimes. Heck a little Toyota GR Corolla has more horse power than the T/A or the Vette from that period and also top the Ferrari and Maserati in HP. Wrong era to own more horse power these days. One would have much more fun back in the 60s and the 70s. Today will only bring grieve, and we have witness many stories just around our cities.
