mulegolf Gulfstream Aqua 1969 Mach 1 Mustang Wish I still had it. I ordered it new when I was working near Minneapolis, MN building I-35.
BobA First car I drove was our family 64 Impala. First car that was actually mine was a 69 Malibu SS with wheels very similar to this one.
Spuzz 1976 Chevy Blazer V8 350 4-Barrel. Rear wheel drive. It had all season street tires, not the off road knobbies. All gayazz blue (no stripe like in the picture) Hand me down from my mechanic Uncle. Ran great but the body was rusting out.
toraider Spuzz Since I'm much younger than you, Mine came from the decade after! 1983 VW Rabbit GTi...Silver like the pic.
rsvman2 Mine must be the worst of all so far. It was a slate gray Chevy Chevette. 🥴 On the plus side, my second car was a '62 Chevy Impala, white with a red stripe. Red interior.
jsippy73 rsvman2 It was a slate gray Chevy Chevette. 🥴 I test drove a new Chevette Scooter that I was thinking about buying for my wife. Was the stripped down version, didnt even have armrests on the door panels. The only car I ever drove that I didn't even feel safe in.
mulegolf rsvman2 It was a slate gray Chevy Chevette. That's what I bought my daughter when she was a sophomore in high school. She loved it and named it Charlie Chevette.
Spartan professor We (my parents) had one of those. We (my Dad & I) tried to get my Mom to go with a stick. During the test drive, my Mom killed it and the guy behind us tail-ended us. Needless to say, that ended that experiment, but I think they felt obligated to buy a Toyota.
Bravopilot Spuzz Had a 4-door Jetta, 5-speed. Another great car that ran forever. Bought a used '76 Trans Am after the Corolla with the screaming chicken on the hood then traded that in for new Jetta. Women did not trust me that I was single.😎
professor candukid Just take it in boys. I thought it was against the rules of engagement to show any photos of ourselves in short-shorts.
rynobucket '85 Nissan Piece of Shit Pulsar Bought from my aunt who had an obsession with unicorns and had put holographic unicorn stickers on the space behind the back windows. At one point it got a Steve Miller cassette stuck in the tape deck and the only way to get the radio on would be if I could get it ejected (ended up finally finding a replacement deck in the junk yard). Nothing but Steve Miller for a half a year is the reason I nearly barf every time I hear The Joker. The last 6 months of it's life it had a top speed of 45 mph...no bueno.
Dewsweeper Not the one I owned but I had the identical one which I paid $8400 for a preowned one by myself. My father took a ride with me when he visited me and promptly offered me to get a Beamer if I trade in mine T/A; he will make up the difference between the trade and a new 7. It had to be a 4 doors sedan and does not smoke the tires when I floored the accelerator. A sad day when they came to take it for the trade in.
Bravopilot Dewsweeper Had a '76, single headlight. Fast car. Woke up late from a night out in Spokane and heading to Fairchild AFB. State Trooper told the judge I passed 93 cars, I made the mistake of saying not at 0930 in the morning. $750 later, I learned an expensive lesson.
Dewsweeper LBlack14 My buddy had one like this with gold paint job. A small block V8 , comfortable ride but with blind spots on both sides of the front fenders. He owned it for 30 years, later became a commuter to and back from transit parking lot.
