braveheart The place I go to, Mikes Golf Outlet, used to be pretty good with trade in prices. Now, I feel like I am getting robbed. I'll get a low amount for something and see it for sale the next time I show up for at least double or more than I got. Frustrating. I do better on Offer Up app.

Ever since the post-COVID price economy, I've noticed that trade-in prices still suck and new AND beat up used stuff prices have doubled. That's just wrong. Retailers getting more profit margin at our expense.

sdandrea1 You mention Temu and Aliexpress… Candukid has done quite well with the p790 irons and the Ping Driver. Nobody here is going on tour, seems he’s proving to have found a solid option.

Typhoon The preowned market has been bad in recent years. Most golfers will know the new multi-material laminated together clubs will not last long like they used to be. More and more warranty claims before the OEM warranty period runs out. So when the preowned golf clubs are not os much in demand, the trafe -in value will be much lower, by figured in the cost of inventory and refurbishing. Sell your old clubs on the web and I'd bet you'll get way higher price than what the trade-in could get you.

Dewsweeper Yeah, trade in for for the rich and lazy. But I know around here if you played a round in the mud and traded in the clubs… they are put on display still cakes in mud. When Backinit was still on Golfbuzz he and I would be at a few local stores commenting on the fact that if they cleaned up the clubs they could maybe sell them.

Typhoon Tey have a person or a crew to clean up and recondition trade ins around here. But they ask way too high in retail price, still high in my opinion after 30% off. Retail business is, either take a smaller margin to move the merchandise or keep them in the inventory which took up retail space and tied up operation capitals. I know beside the OEM prewned department lots of places like online sites that takes trade in, all have staff to clean up and polish the trade in golf clubs.

I quit eBay so now i don’t have never ending shit to sell. I’ve sold some stuff on OfferUp and a few things to coworkers. Trade ins value since Covid have been shit but also since then used prices are stupid I’m out on this stuff. I’ve got 3 sets, 2 drivers and a few other extras. I’d be much more active with equipment probably if it were still fair but it isn’t. I don’t have the time or patience anymore. I like to just rotate my stuff if I want a change

I'm getting there....... recently decided to keep my Cobra, TE and XXIO drivers for that very reason. I've got 4 putters now too.
