johnnydoom I bet, always had my haircut to military standard every two weeks as a kid (dad was Air Force). First time I grew it out was after high school during freshman year in school. Then went to USMC camp summer of '76, the barber said to cup my hands in front of me if I wanted to keep my hair.
You had better location for remote tours. When my dad went to Vietnam we moved off base by Keesler in Biloxi, MS. Then to upstate NY when he did a year remote in Thule, Greenland at my grandmother's house in Hague, NY. Used the outhouse as her house had 1 bathroom with no tub/shower (Mom + 6 kids). Very small town, 1 school, Kindergarten - 12th grade in one building.
