Might as well go Single Length irons if you suck anyway, only have to get decent at one swing.
In all seriousness, I put a set in my bag and they kicked my Callaway X Hot Pros out of the bag, which had been in there for the better part of 10 years if not more. The cool part is, I play once in a blue moon and Iβm more consistent than ever with my irons. I had 3 really good looks at birdie last round on par 3s, one stuck 6 ft from 175 with a pretty steep uphill to the green. I canβt think of another time in my entire time playing I had that many looks on par 3s in one round. I tend to be ok from the fairway, but iron off the tee is some sort of mental block. Single length has meant I basically have to have my driver, 3 wood, hybrids and wedges with different swings, but my irons are all the same. Itβs pretty cool. If you can catch a bit of rhythm, it makes the game a lot easier. The short irons might be a little longer and the lower lofted clubs may not be quite as long, but once you figure out your distances, theyβll be more consistent than you ever will be.
