Played 18 with this ball today. And unbelievably, with just 1 ball in your basic Fall scenario of leaves/shadows/deeper rough. I guess that is, right off, a + for the ball, being able to see/find them easily. They are a brighter white than most.
From what I've read, the ball is 'supposed' to be a 55 compression. I have no way of checking such, so cannot dispute the number being posted around. BUT...it sure as hell does not play like a soft 55 compression ball. JMO, but I'd think it would be more in the realm of a 70-80 compression as to how it played and felt.
Feel is on the firm side of soft when hit with driver, or for that matter any club.
Contrary to reviews, I did not find a lower trajectory from the ball, with any club.
It putts very true and no 'click' nor does it feel mushy. Goldilocks would say just right!😄
61*, wind was 15+ gusting. Ground was damp-wet.
Again JMO, but the wind had no + or - affect on the ball. I think it has shallower dimples than most.
Distance- 1st FW shot was from 141 & I used my 130 club. I then chipped on from the back fringe!!
Repeating, Fall weather, wind, very cool air.
Driver distances were no shorter than any I would hit with other balls in the summer heat/humidity. IOW, they were maybe 10-15 yds. longer than what would be normal this time of year. 2-3 may have been the longest I hit on those particular holes in the summer. Very surprising.
With the irons I found normal distances, normal height.
For some odd reason my hybrids gained yardage using these balls. 3wd. was normal.
Spin.....meh. Greens were kinda softish anyway and they did not roll out forever. I did have a few check up within a foot or 2 of landing. No 'spin back'.....I'm not that damn good anyway.
Edit to add: no scuffs, no 'shear', and as white as it was right out of the box....no discoloration from wettish grass. (did hit 1 out of a bunker)
Not sure why all reviewers have stated ball flight is lower. Maybe due to their higher than 100 SS?? But I will have Jake hit some, given the opportunity.
Can't wait til summer comes around again to see how these play at that time. But if wanting a great cool/cold weather ball, this may be the one.👍👍
Going try to get out again tomorrow, different course. Going to be a bit warmer yet with upper 60s forecasted. But that damn wind😆......is supposed to be close to 20 with gusts.
