Just found out A friend of mine , only 10 years older, in his early 70's has dementia and has gone off wandering a few times, once in the middle of the night at their country property where a river is close by.

The family has to use a tracker .

Hoping I am gone before my family has to be burdened with this shit.

Went to a medical professional. My shin wound was looking a little infected. On antibiotics for the shin, muscle relaxer for the bruised ribs along with ibuprofen.

The spot in the middle is where the impact injury is. Still swollen and colorful. Funny thing is that the ribs hurt more, but there's zero bruises.

The shin doesn't really hurt that much. Keep moving.......the ribs mostly hurt when I change positions, sitting to standing, vice versa. As long as I don't cough or sneeze🤬

I can relate to all this......just went to the Dr's yesterday to talk about my right knee which has been sorer than hell for the past two months. The Doc suspects osteoarthritis, so I will have Xrays taken Monday, then probably start Physical Therapy and maybe cortisone to see how the knee responds. Don't want to think about knee replacement yet.....☹

Reaching your age with no arthritis is a blessing in my family. I started in my late 40s with it. Two knee replacements and a shoulder replacement later, I'm still standing. My siblings all suffer the same fate. Hope you can delay the inevitable.🙏

After reading about all the ailments youse guys have, I thank my lucky stars that I am still in great health. 5’10”. 160 lbs and nothing hurts. I do have some toenail fungus though. Will be 61 in a couple of months.

candukid Shit man.....at 61, you're just a kid !!!!! I didn't notice any "new" aches and pains until
I got in my 70's, and it wasn't really until I reached 80 (last month) that anything significant showed up. Just had
my knee X-rayed this morning. The Dr. suspects osteoarthritis, but I won't know what treatment (Physical Therapy,
cortisone, or both) until the X-rays get read. Meanwhile, my first few steps after getting up out of a chair remind me of my Dad when he was a geezer....

Snow and cold keeps me moving. No lounging in the backyard with a beer all year long.
As for the nukes, a little bit of radiation dose never hurt anybody 😉
