I do almost all of my computing on my 12 year old Dell Inspiron 620 desktop using Windows 10. It suits my needs just fine. MS has been pushing an upgrade to Windows 11 for a long time since support for Win 10 stops after today. Unfortunately many older PCs like mine have hardware limitations that will not run Win 11. Many are not happy with MS forcing people to upgrade to a new PC (me being one). I got an email from MS yesterday that they were extending support for another year by paying $30 or using MS reward points (1,000 points.) I didn't even know I had reward points and actually had almost 6,000 in my MS account. So, I used some points and got the extension. Easy, peasy. I just wanted to pass this along in case you weren't aware. 😜

Right click on 'This PC' icon on the desktop and click 'Settings'. Find 'Windows Update' in 'Update & Securety'. And click on 'Enrole Now' to get the extended security updates for free if you allow to sync your PC settings in your MS account (this is to verify your Windows licence is used non professionaly on only 1 computer).

At no additional cost if you are syncing your PC Settings.
Redeem 1,000 Microsoft Rewards points.
One-time purchase of $30 USD or local currency equivalent plus applicable tax.

Actually the problem isn't the screen. I use a docking station with two other monitors. The issue is the swelling battery. Look at the bottom surface.

Looks like that is even worse than the Microsoft Screen of Death…That could cause some major damage…
