If L.A.B. Golf didnât trademark their name then theyâre imbeciles. Open source on a design is one thing. Clearly L.A.B. doesnât hold a patent on the zero torque technology. Others like TaylorMade and Odyssey etc. have their own versions.
Regardless any copy of their design cannot say L.A.B. on it without it being a fake. Fake as in counterfeit.
Again, unless their business model is to deceive their customers. Which I canât imagine any business school having a class in how to ruin your business with such a bizarre business model. đ
Ping is the classic example of protecting their pricing. If they found that a retailer or Pro shop was undercutting their price theyâd pull their product from that seller.
