ode What do you guys think Temu is going as it relates to LAB? They buy an original and 3D print it for production models? I am not sure how it's done...
Eguller ode buy an original and 3D print it for production models? I am not sure how it's done... Good question. I’d think there are much cheaper ways than 3-D printed ones. 🤔
ode Eguller essentially how do they make the blueprint for the model they make. Is it as easy as the measurements of another model and going from there...some sort of 3D CAD? Clueless how it works.
jsippy73 ode I you have one in hand, it is easy to get the dimensions in a number of ways. CMM, Comparator, Visual inspection machine, or old fashioned way of taking measurements and measuring angles, radiuses, hole locations, etc.
garyt1957 Took my Lazrus ZT to the dome today. The putting green there is just a carpet on a hard surface so runs about a 14 which i will never see on a course. Its also dark in thete so you cant see the multiple breaks. So not the greatest test, but it felt pretty good and seemed accurate when i could finda reasonably straight putt. Not sure its going to be a big upgrade. May have to watch some of the lab videos.
sdandrea1 I just watched a Rickie Fowler vs Grant Horvat YouTube match. They both have LAB putters....the big one, the OG. They missed enough (very make-able) putts to convince me not to bother.
Par4QC sdandrea1 Putting well....it's all in the alignment of your feet. And of course, how you hold your mouth. 👍
bigshank sdandrea1 you still have to read the green correctly and match pace. I also have the original big one. I feel like it’s on line more often. Definitely putted better last season. You might be surprised. Not for everyone I understand that. It’s pretty fugly but it grows on you
sdandrea1 bigshank you still have to read the green correctly and match pace All you have to do is hit the putt on the correct line for that speed and they go in! How much does the club itself actually help? I do agree that once you trust a putter and putt well with it, it should be a keeper. I'd love to try one of these, but they're too pricey for experimenting.
bigshank sdandrea1 they are more than just a little help I would say. Hard to quantify. Your short ones are automatic. The longer putts are looking like they are going in even if they barely miss. Speed was great with my Scotty but this thing is much more around the hole from 35 feet or less.
bigshank sdandrea1 also on the real ones can’t speak for the Temu ones I’ve never tried one. There’s really no loss of speed for a toe or heel strike which might be why the long putts stay more true. I got mine from my son in laws dad for $225. Was a no brainer try for me. My buddy bought the newer model with similar results. He also was using a Scotty prior. I only know three people who play Labs and they like me aren’t looking back.
sdandrea1 candukid Come on Steve...ya know ya wanna 🤣 Damn enablers 🤬🤣 Maybe if someone buys the XXIO irons I have listed.... ..
Typhoon sdandrea1 You’re in love with your Scotty. It’s the only club that never moves out even for one round. You’d get one of these, use it one round and dump it. Why bother.
sdandrea1 Typhoon You’re in love with your Scotty. Odyssey VLine Pro, actually. Been in the bag for a few years now. Made a nice birdie today with it.
Bravopilot Par4QC PapaD has to go big, actual, real-life L.A.B ZT. Plus, upgraded shaft. Spare no cost to miss putts.
