Shipping to Australia?

Ok shipping guru’s, I have a friend in Melbourne who wants to order TM wedges but the Australian TM site doesn’t let him customize the shaft. I was toying with the idea of ordering them for him and shipping them there myself.

I feel it’s a “no good deed goes unpunished “ task that always happens to me so I’ll probably keep my mouth shut but any of you guys have any ballpark ideas how much to ship 2 wedges there?

'In the old days' of my shipping, I once had a box delivered there in just 2 days.
The good old days, of course.😉😄

I now hold my breath when shipping to Iowa.

Sent a putter to Sydney, Australia back in the late winter and used Easyship. It was $59 USD for a 38x4x4 box at 5lbs. Got there in 4 days. I believe it went with FedEx

They have a cheaper service that quotes 11-17 days but it was only something like 8$ less so went the faster route ( person on other end paid the shipping anyways )

While 'digs on Iowa' is a normal thing in this area....this side of the river, I was referring to the ineptitude of the USPS.

We have something in common, "digs on Iowa." Those "Ioweigians" are always catching hell here in Minnesota, even if
I have a son, daughter-in-law and a grandson living at Denison, Ia. It's said that the only good thing to come out of Iowa is I-35. 😉

You've got a putter to buy by years end. Absolutely no torque. Just don't use it on 8 foot breaking putts.

The forms are all easy enough to fill out online, and print. But yesterday, while checking things out, I noticed a new 'needed info' on the customs form.
Tariff number!! Did not check into how you find this, or how to get it.

Also the price I quoted was straight from USPS, not Pirate Ship or any other shipping service.

I will also say here that I've been wondering if all the posters(sending, not receiving) in the 'USPS sucks' thread have been going thru Pirate Ship or directly from USPS.

I miss the days of shipping to @RedC in Malayasia. Only 1 time did I nearly get him sent to the pokey!!🤣

Shipped a small box to Australia a couple years ago. It cost around $80. Went to about 5 different countries before the person received it. Japan and Taiwan were 2 of them. A $50 item. The person was very happy to get it despite the shipping charges. Took almost 2 months.

Try putting them on E-bay in a private listing and use the E-bay prefered shipping method. Most of the time the cheapest on the block + it also takes care of all the necessary shipping documents for customs, import duties and taxes to pay, so no surprises there. But I guess buying them in the land of Oz and reshafted by a clubmaker will still be cheaper.
