ode Ther are places on the greens where you can putt it 15 past the hole and 7 feet left, and the ball will turn around and come back to the hole. On 13 one of the amateurs hut a good tee shot, right on the pin but about 22 feet short. The putt was to break to the left really hard in the last ten feet, but to get to that spot it had to graze the edge of a swale that would take it to the right and potentially off the green. His original putt barely got through the swale but parked itself ar the top of the slope that would have taken the ball to the hole, leaving him at least 9 feet short. A gentle nudge sent the ball down to the hole from there.
The slopes are much more severe than what they look like on tv.
