Jeeno Thitikul's win at the Mizuho Americas Open was the first for a player from Thailand this year.
Jeeno has teed it up eight times this year and has eight top 25 finishes. She also (as usual) leads in top ten finishes with six. She has five top five finishes this year and no other player has more than two.
Yealimi Noh registered her fourth top ten of the Year and sixth top twenty finish at the Mizuho Americas Open.
Rio Takeda's top ten finish in that same event was her 5th of the year. She has six top twenty and seven top twenty-five finishes.
In the Louise Suggs Rookie of the Year race, Rio Takeda continues to expand her lead with 472 points. Miyu Yamashita is second with 300, and Ingrid Lindblad is third with 186. They are followed by Akie Awai (175) and Chisato Iwai (154).
Nelly Korda still leads the Vare Trophy race with a scoring average of 68.88. Jeeno Thitikul is second by the smallest of margins at 68.89.
There were some significant moves in the Rolex Rankings by LPGA players in the two weeks since I last reported:
Jeeno Thitikul holds at number two, but has made some significant progress in getting closer to the top spot. Nelly Korda has now held that top position for a total of 98 weeks.
Celine Boutier Moves up from 16 to 12.
Yealimi Noh, who started the year at number 72 in the rankings, powers her way up from 23 to 18.
Carlotta Ciganda rebounds back into the top thirty rising from 40 to 28.
Andrea Lee vaults her way up from 56 to 43.
Lindy Duncan jumps into the top fifty advancing from 54 to 50.
