Rickochet Never really used any of that stuff on horses.
But, 1 day while training up in MI, my back was on the fritz. When I went to stand up I almost fell down. 1 old trainer told me to use some DMSO on it, and I just laughed. He said.... hell, you use on horses don't you? He poured some on his hand, rubbed it on my back for no more than 10 seconds. I sat down again and in a few minutes just stood right up and walked away. He goes ....'SEEEEE?'
It's about the only thing I ever used on horses. Very quick working....in the bloodstream in seconds. Usually used over the top of other medications in order for them to penetrate quickly....instant relief. And it does work alone as I found out.
Gonna have a bit of garlicky breath for a while though.๐
Some of the liniments guys used on horses would get them suspended, without knowing it had illegal ingredients. Human liniments.....so we do need to be careful with what we are using on ourselves.
Keep in mind though, as I've stated in the past, when you mask any pain(s) with pills, liniments, etc., you are allowing further injury by not remedying what is causing the pain.
