Par4QC And that could possibly be broken down to just 1-3%, for a single set of irons or driver, etc.. We'll see how much these places try to gouge us. They have to know we are not going to pay 145% more. For anything.
Plus, tariffs are already in place, so things will not go up 145, if I understand they were only raised to that level, & not added on to.
Correct there already was a 25% tariff my wife’s company was paying until these recent hikes. And the way I understand it the tariff is on the total value of whatever was imported.
So whether one club or 1000 the 145% would be the same. So if one club was previously imported for a cost of $300 then now the imported cost would be $735. $300 + $435 (145% tariff).
If 1000 clubs were imported the cost is the same only 1000 times more. 1000 X $300 = 300,000 + $435,000 (145% tariff) = $735,000.
But I’m far from a tariff expert. My wife’s company has someone from another company who specializes in tariffs that figures the tariffs for their invoices.
Anyway, if nothing changes the cost for clubs will go up substantially. Vietnam has been hit with a 46% tariff on imports. Better than 145%.
If people think inflation was bad because of Covid. This could be worse. One thing we don’t want is stagflation. Had that in the 70’s.
