So Nippon just released a Modus 110🙄. I was on a “fanboy of anything golf “forum that was reviewing them and of course nobody says anything when I asked the “experts” to explain the playing differences between them all🤣. There is a 105,110,115,120,125 and 130. I posted the chart from Nippons website over there. The 130 I know I vastly different. But the chart says everything is Mid and all the weights overlap. I’d post it here but it doesn’t do well with “dark mode”. Could not possibly be more confusing

For rec hackers stay with the GH line. 950GH still the #1 steel shaft on the LPGA after all these years and it will continue to be used by them. Hack male golfers don't have any more club head speed in irons than the majority of LPGA players. Except the Korda's, Lexi's of the world. I've never been impressed much by any of the Modus line.

To compare Madelene Sagstrom is using the KBS Tour Lite "R" in her irons. That says 950GH to me.

scotts33 The 950 line is a great line and really caters to slower speeds right up to LPGA speeds. Best line for most golfers. The 1050 and 1150 were great as well. Seemed like all that was really needed. The Super Peening line was there for PGA tour pros and wrx’ers who are “golf forum pga tour players”.

This Modus line is just too confusing now and their website is awful.

5 gram increments seem a little much. Maybe they setting up to pull a few out.

[deleted] But they’re not 5 gram increments like the Sam’s suggest. I’ll post the link to the chart, you’ll have to scroll down. I tried posting the chart here but it doesn’t work with dark mode. You’ll see the overlaps in weight and how the shaft names don’t help out. And now add in a 110🙄

Typhoon Yea, that's way too much thinking for shafts. And yes the names are confusing.

Typhoon Odd, to me, that the 130g(121-129) shaft has a soft tip.🤔
And that it is called a 130 shaft. Of course😄.

I've played/still got some of the 1050-1150 shafts in R & S. Both feel great/work great. If you recall, I did have a set of TMs (or were they Callaway?)a few years ago with the Tour 105 and hated them.

I had a pretty good experience with a set of ZELOS 7 and a set of ZELOS 8. Buttery and LIGHT.
