So I tried 3 of the 4 new Cobra DS Adapt drivers(Max-D not even a thought), having a Second Swing close by made it easy to try used drivers.
I settled on the Max-K out of the DS Adapt X and DS Adapt LS. DS Adapt X was good but didn’t blow me away, had good success with the original DS LS. I switched to the DS Adapt LS, did not like the feel at all, IMO felt harsh compared to the original.
Next came the DS Adapt Max-K 9* with the Denali Black 6.0. Played with it today, IMO it is without a doubt the best of the 3 for me. Mid/High ball flight with no ballooning at all. Great feel off the club face and forgiving. I was using either a ProV1 or Srixon ZX Diamond golf ball.
As far as the adapter goes with 33 settings it honestly is easy to figure out. It’s really a great tool for fitters dialing someone into the correct setting.
There is one thing that’s different with the 9* and 10* Adapt X and LS, the 9* heads have a power bridge forward in the heads and the 10* don’t. I did try the Adapt X in 10.5 and LS in 9*.
IMO Cobra has another winning driver on their hands in the DS Adapt Max-K .
