Walterjn Congratulations!! I know that it's work to remain married for a long time anymore. I am not married, probably not going to be any time soon. My folks will be celebrating, i believe, 51 years on June 8th.
raggmann54 Made it 32 with first wife...SWMBO and I have been together for 17 years and neither one of us is planning to ruin a great relationship by getting married a second time...
mulegolf [deleted] I got married at 41 so I'm not putting money on that horse, but it's a nice thought. I though that I held out pretty long at 26 when I got married but you sure topped that. I always said that I wouldn't get married until I was at least 30 and had a jug of Jack Daniels bet with a coworker to that effect. I lost the bet but won something much more important.
[deleted] mulegolf This is #2. I have 2 kids in their 30s. The first was so bad that there are 11 years in between.
KCee Walterjn I would say you're the smartest man I know, but I have golf buddies that are 52 and 56 and still single so you're stuck in 3rd for now.
Bravopilot Walterjn I'm not married at 67, to set in my ways now. Was married for about 5 years, Las Cruces is the 3rd place we have both moved to. Though both boys have essentially lived with me full time, we still make it work. She no longer carries a gun (retired FBI) so less stressful too.
mulegolf [deleted] Again kind of like me/us. My wife was married before for 8 years and had 2 kids. I adopted them not too long after we were married. The strange part is that we live in a very small town which had about 3000 people when we were in school. We didn't know each other until we worked together at a bar when she left her 1st husband. We were one year apart in school but my class and her class didn't associate with each other. She was one year ahead of me and my class hung out with the class one year ahead of hers more than with her class.
bigshank Tomorrow is 33rd anniversary. No golf this weekend for me. Her birthday and anniversary last through the weekend.
