[deleted] Not a new ball for Costco. They sold these same balls 4-5 years ago @ $29.99/2 doz.. Same box.
iirc, the ERC soft also had a hybrid cover.

The original Hex Tour ball, sold by Callaway, was a 4 pc. urethane cover ball.

sdandrea1 A search online shows this isn't the first time a "hybrid" cover Hex Tour has appeared at Costco. This is a hard pass. It may perform decently, but I'm not in the market at this pricing.

How many balls do you guys use in a season, a couple of years ago I played a whole season in my league with the same ball?

jsippy73 Usually between 1 and 2 dozen. I retire more balls than a lose.

jsippy73 Depends. When I used to shoot in the 80's regularly I would get about 5 or 6 rounds out of a dozen balls. Now I can lose anywhere between 2 and 10 per round. All of the courses around here have several forced carries over water and all of them do not clear out underbrush from the trees. Any ball that goes into the trees is most likely lost. There aren't a lot of bail out options and there is decent possibility of losing the ball on almost every full shot. I could go to a muny 8 miles from here in the hood and play a more open course, but I'd need to carry because getting robbed at gunpoint on that course is a very real possibility. There is a course 30 miles to the north that is safe and more playable, but I'm not driving 30 miles under normal circumstances to play.

Same here…due to scuffing and/or cover tears over time.

I probably contribute close to a dozen over the entirety of a full season to the water hazards in play on holes 3,4,7,8 & 14 at my home course…

…lucky for me these days I don’t hit it as far as I used to & I hardly ever lose shots bad right…otherwise it would probably be another dozen per season donated to the mighty Missouri River that is in play on holes 15,17 & 18 😆🤣

I might lose 10 balls in 12 months, probably less. I play cheap balls, so if I send one deep into rough or woods, I just leave it. No need to get ticks, chiggers or snakebite for a Top Flite.

I do like to experiment a little with different golf balls and hey....a deal is a deal. I probably have 15 dozen stashed...maybe a few more. Who's counting?

I probably don't lose too many except on golf trips, but I do retire them and they go into a bucket for when I hit into my home net. I retire those after a season. Circle of life. I think I have about 6 dozen down in basement.

I normally lose more than I retire. Then again, I kinda suck at this game, so anytime I need to carry water, hopefully it's not on my right. I'll send that ball swimming with anything much more than my 8 iron.
Hopefully, when I hit my driver, it goes fairly straight and my 'lovely' power fade keeps it's head down. I lose balls to the right more than any place else as long as there isn't a pond.
That said, I do give away a bunch of the logicalone balls I buy just to try to get Kelly a couple customers.

I hit it long and am prone to hooks, thins and fats....so I can easily go through 2 sleeves a round or more.
