Thanks to its unique design, the GX-7 works best when struck with a slightly descending blow, just like your irons and hybrids.

Golfers have a hard enough time learning how to hit the tee shot. Now they are going to have a harder time re-learning.

Not for me. Not for a lot of golfers. (notice the guys in the vid were all kind of, let's say, elderly & high 'caps?

They really seem to hyping it. I think it is more for the senior and the hacker circuit,
I guess straight in the fairway at 190 is better than in the rough at 210.
Anybody with a swingspeed of higher than 90 should probably stay away.

Last year it was the "xe-1" wedge right?

Problem is if u use the shitty, scooping reverse weight shift u used before...the club won't work. If you just use a normal motion, you can't hit a bad shot with it.

One of the guys I play with has one and some of our members do.

I imagine the same will be for the GX7

There's a long thread about it over at The Sand Trap ( https://thesandtrap.com/forums/topic/92145-gx-7-a-reputable-outfit/ ) and the reviews aren't very positive on the whole.

I heard a lot of negative feedback about it, too, as well as about the company. I'd stay away if i were you.

It has the sole of a 7 iron. Some, may even be able to hit it off the fairway. 😒 WTF? Anyone can/should be able to hit a 7 iron off the fairway.

I know someone who has one. He is in his 70s. It seems to have the typical benefit of a thriver for him. Shorter, heavier club with a little more control. Distance seems OK, a little shorter than his driver but not much. I think it lacks forgiveness, though. It loses more distance when he mishits it than his driver. He can't hit it off the fairway at all. Sole design does not help him a bit. I hit it once and it felt a little too heavy in the head. The shaft seemed super soft. I agree it sounds bad. Not really loud but a weird hollow tone that does not sound solid. I don't think there is anything about it that makes it worth buying.

Its been my experience that most "infommercial" clubs are POS'. Remember Jack Hamm's The Hammer.
Only good one I can recall was Peter's Perfect Clubs.

I was just about to remark about the Perfect Club. My wife still bags one and it is a go-to stick for her. That one works.

sdandrea1 I just found a Perfect Club head in my tool box, and I put it on a UST shaft I had laying around, going to try it this week. It's the original head, so I think it's 21*.

They are a little deep in the face so I'd play it like an iron and try to hit it with a slightly descending strike on the fairways. Off the tee, they go a mile. Out of the rough - point and shoot. Out of the sand - yep!
