Yesterday afternoon's round... started with a 3-putt bogey on the opening hole, as our green speeds have increased quite noticeably and I was a little too brave with the mid-range birdie putt, ramming it about 6 feet by.
Then birdied the next three holes. Made bogey on the par3 5th, then chipped in for birdie on the par3 8th. Damn near made a 25 footer on the 9th, but settled for par to go out in 2-under 34.
Then the back nine horror story commenced. I'll save you the specifics, only to say that our rough from only 5-10 feet off the fairway requires Deep Woods Off, a scythe, and a beagle. Even the better lies from the rough were not good whatsoever.
Anyway... shot 7-over coming in, 77 on the day.
9-shot swing. And I really didn't feel like I played all that badly the last two hours, but apparently I did... lol
