I lost a job I used to do where I made around $70 per hour, do to the cost of aluminum. Could get the pieces from China for way less than the cost of aluminum here. Post office was pissed when I shipped to Texas for $14.95 in a large flat rate box. Always told me it would cost me like $80 shipping otherwise. So what, I don't set shipping prices. The boxes weighed like 75 lbs if I remember.

jsippy73 Even before Jan., aluminum prices had gone out of hand. I checked on making more shaft pullers and found the cost had tripled! Then I checked steel pricing ....same thing. So, no more shaft pullers.

I usually find out what trade-in value is and then add a reasonable "profit" to cover my shipping costs and maybe pocket a few bucks, but my goal is just get it gone. If a set of irons trades in for $130, I'd probably ask $175 - $199 and take $150 to cover shipping. You should do what YOU think you should do. There's no "supposed" to do. Good luck with sale. Worst case you trade them in or sell them to PIAS. There's no money in selling used clubs. Mint condition just makes them prettier, not worth more. I just sold a set of MINT ACER heads for $25 that cost $17 to ship. Just doing a Golfbuzzer a solid and moving the parts along.

I did a lot of scrapping in the remodeling of the hotels. The scrapyards would not take washer/dryer drums that were stainless unless I could prove they were American made(which I did). So many impurities in the foreign materials that it was dangerous even after recycling.
'nuff said about how bad some tariffs might be. Or aren't. 😉

To find selling prices on ebay you would have to look here. And if you find no comps, it tells a couple things....

I would advertise locally. More apt to get a sale at a decent price. And no shipping problems/costs.

You can't go by asking price and I can't explain why anyone asks ridiculous prices for their clubs. Listen man, just advertise your stuff for whatever. I can't help you. I'm out.

Are you using just USPS for your shipping options?

Try to use the smallest box you can. Not just in length but the skinniest. 4x4x48 works great for single clubs. You may not be able to fit the headcover on it and squeeze it into the box. You may have to wrap the head in bubble wrap. Or take the club apart if it’s adjustable.

I used to use 5x5x52 and was still within the USPS limits. But these pancake heads of today will not fit when attached. Not sure they fit loose with protection, diagonally.

Most of the rates I can get for single clubs range from $10-$14 per club and it depends on the area. If they live in a rural area that may not get many deliveries, it will increase the price slightly.

SMT My asking prices vary, in thought. I may ask a price if I don't care if it sells or not; if it does, good... if not OK.
I may ask a price that when it sells quickly, I know I did the right 'ask'. BUT.....that was a selling price, and I knew it.
You just have to know the diff of those pricings.

Long packages need to be UPS now although I see options for ground advantage via USPS are available without the big surcharge in instances. I sent a 4# package to Pa for just under $10 via UPS but USPS was an option for $16.25. 42 x 6 x 6. This was via PayPal Ship station.

You can tell everyone here is old… a simple post and Mikes immediate perfect answer. Should have ended there yet it went on for 42 more posts . Reminds me of when I used to sit at Dunk fo coffee with the old guys from the golf course…. This went from shipping to Medicare to cable TV bills to club values.😂
