Anyone else in on it? It's legit as far as I can see. I'm expecting to get at least enough to get a cup of coffee. I got a couple of hundred bucks about 12 years ago from a power company that put the screws to everyone. There isn't much expected if any from this one.

I didn't know about it. I'll have to read up. I could use the $12.

To receive a payment, you must have filed a claim by November 5, 2021.

sdandrea1 I didn't know about it. I'll have to read up. I could use the $12.

+/- 120M members, but only 6M filed. My wife had it, but don't recall if she got a claim in. I'll be checking her emails.

After deducting attorney's fees and administrative costs, the net settlement fund is worth approximately $1.9 billion, which will be distributed across roughly 6 million claimants. On average, claimants can expect checks of $333.

I think I remember this now, but maybe not. 🙄

Par4QC I'm in. I received an email about 2 weeks ago and I had to go to the BCBS settlement website to do some verification. The whole thing was caught up in appeals because of the high legal fees.

I don't know if this will help you or not but the email has a claim number and PIN.
Basically, you go to the settlement website and enter the given claim number and PIN and you can review the premiums that you paid during the time frame in question.

backinit I never closed her email account due to a couple bills that it is attached to. So I check it daily, no notice for any payment.
But, these notices about any lawsuits always come via email in the beginning, not by mail. So a lot of people will just delete them as SPAM, and that is probably what happened with my wife back then.

BCBS has about 120M members. Only 9M filed claims. Proof enough for me.

Par4QC I can tell you for sure that it will not be "high five" money. I'm thinking $300 - $500. I found a reddit post where someone claimed to get over $800. I'm hoping for enough to cover a extra large coffee. I'm glad to help cover the payroll for a legal firm in the process.

backinit It reads like what you paid in premiums is what settlement payments are based on.
My wife's payments were high, but she was getting treatments that would cost 3000-6000.....every 6 weeks!! For 20 years. So, I won't be complaining much about no little check.

I've had a few notices of other suits/settlements that I've just shitcanned. Total settlement was only in the millions, and so would be the claimants. Then they want all this info from you on the claim forms. WTH? How did you know to send me the notice....you should already know everything about me.
