I HATE the packaging that COSTCO and BJs use on some items. Thick/shaped plastic fitted over the items on a cardboard backing is sometimes so substantial, I can't get it open with normal scissors or a knife. 🤬🤬

Buy generic cartridges on ebay from a seller who has sold a lot. They work just a good and are way less money.

Those panels are so cheap, you could do it yourself for less than a 1/10th of the cost and most likely Better than their Assembly Line Contactors!

Yup…. A few years ago we had a sales guy from one of those one day shower outfits come to the house. He gave us a $19,000 quote. 😮 The acrylic is cheap looking.

Told him we were going to get other quotes. Long story short he finally got to a $10,000 sign tonight price. 😏

We had our own contractor do it with tile etc.. Materials and labor were ~ $4800. Frameless glass shower door was $2000. The owner of the glass company told us he just had a woman who came close to getting ripped off by one of those one day wonders.

Start walking for your rehab. My Dr. told me that's all I needed for therapy after my first surgery and fusion. I walked
plenty and recovered fine. Hang in there, it gets better. It will likely take most of a year before your completely back to normal.

There should be a federal law prohibiting personal checks as a form of payment at the grocery store. The lady in front of me yesterday (after trying to redeem 77 coupons - half of which weren't even valid) whips out her checkbook. It took her 10 minutes just to find her drivers license. And of course, she can't move on after the cashier completes the transaction... she has to stand there and balance her checkbook.

I've literally purchased cars and signed all the paperwork in less time.

I pretty much exclusively use the self checkout stations which all grocery stores up here have. No coupons, no price matching.

if I see some geezer 75 plus in a line I will try to avoid getting behind. I understand that we are an aging population and there will be more old folks clogging up lines and roads so just work with it. A year or two ago was behind a lovely old lady, probably late 70's but she fumbled for several minutes trying to find the coins to make the EXACT payment ( seems many geezers still use cash) . A 30 something in line got perturbed saying something like hurry up granny. The cashier put him in his place by saying....lighten up pal this will be you one day.

I resemble that remark since I turned 75 yesterday. It isn't just a u-scan issue. I was at Krogers recently in the normal checkout line with clerk. An old blue hair had one of the mini buggies with minimal products so I got in line. She had maybe 10 items and a bag with 6 seedless grapes. 6 fucking grapes. They were sold by the pound and were too light to weigh in. It took them 5 minutes to figure out what to do. The clerk finally asked her if $.25 was ok. The biggest issue these days is not enough help at the grocery and the checkout lines get backed up so people who don't have a clue how to u-scan take a whole cart full of groceries and try to self check out which backs up the u-scans as well.

My fav recent event was when I went through u-scan at Krogers. I only had a few things but I did have some beer which triggered age verification. A young clerk came up and tapped in her code and instead of asking me "date of birth" she asks, "Can you remember your birthday?" I gave it to her and got so tickled I started to laugh. She gives me a look like "this old loon is giddy because he remembered his birthday." 🤣

7 degrees this a.m.. If there was ever a justified reason to complain I think that's it. Archie was just laying on me, licking my face and growling a "get up" message. Onto fire building and plenty of hot coffee.
