Soundbars

Looking for a inexpensive, decent sounding one for a bedroom. Not sure if getting Dolby atmos is worth it.
Would be primarily used watching sports on tv and occasional streaming music.
Any ideas?

I really like my ZVOX to enhance tv sound quality. But I don't have a good comparison if your primary goal is listening to music.

Yamaha makes nice ones. I have a YAS-107 that is awesome. Unfortunately, the dream killer hates it, did nothing but complain about the subwoofer that was barely on. I even shut the sub and she still complained. Wouldn’t mind but she’s deaf as a haddock. I ended up unplugging it and just use the crappy Samsung TV sound 🙄🙄🙄

I have a Polk model but it’s old now. But I recently helped a brother in law purchase a TV and soundbar. He bought the Sonos Beam Gen 2. I like it better than mine. It might be more than you need for a bedroom though. There is a model under this one in price and features we looked at first that was good too.

Thanks for the replies. Probably will forgo the separate subwoofer.
That said, a built-in subwoofer might work.

Go all the way with speakers built into the headboard of your bed. Ceiling speakers, shower/master bath speakers, SenSurround. Go big or go home. 😎

I have 2. A Vizio and a Samsung. Both Surround Sound.

Personally, I prefer the Vizio. More depth and adjustability. Plus it matches compatibility wise with my VizioTV. Easy hookup and control.

The Samsung came with the house. It's a lower price model and it shows. Not many options.

The Vizio I bought and have had around 10 years. Today's tech blows both of these away. But if I buy another, it'll be a Vizio.

Ours is a Bose. It does have different setting for movies, sports, etc. Overall we like the sound, the TV speakers are off. Think it was from Sam's Club.

Ours does not qualify with your requirements, in that it is not cheap.

We went with the Sonos ARC. That is our speaker for the main part of the house for normal music and TV. We have a Sonos ERA 100 in the bedroom and a Sonos AMP powering speakers on the screened in patio.

I would like to add a sub at some point, but that's $600 more to an already fairly expensive system.

I have had Zvox for almost 10 years. It is big and heaving and sits on a shelf above my TV. I got it before I got hearing aids to help me hear the TV. I particularly had issues understanding speech. The Zvox has adjustable channels. Voices are in the middle channel that I have turned up and that took care of the voice issues. Another thing it does is sound leveling that keeps the sound from getting super loud suddenly like action scenes or commercials.

I have an old Vizio in the living room and a TCL from Walmart that came with a small wireless subwoofer. I like the TCL better.
