Piggybacking on Rex's suggestion, I'd say you want spring face or hollow plus higher lofts. Either a HL version or have something bent 2 degrees weak. But the spring/hollow irons definitely hit higher. I used to be skeptical but I'm a believer now. The trick is finding a set that isn't low lofted.
The second trick is matching the sole to your swing. Shallow, average, or steep? If you are shallow, you probably don't want a massive sole/bounce because you will end up with thin-ish hits and that will defeat the purpose.
Isn't there a Hot Metal HL? That would be the Mizuno for you, I think.
