ode I've always considered it a cheat scheme. They are always saying how soft the greens are and when someone walks the line, it leaves a clear path.....which most seem to miss anyway.
Much like when they walk all around the hole, checking every little angle and thing out. Then suddenly, they notice that old ball mark and they fix it. IOW, marking an aim point.
But only amateurs cheat any.🤔
