Bravopilot Par4QC He does have sweet looking garage floor. He covers that with the cars. I'd use covers if I wasn't so lazy. clubs are not cheap.
sdandrea1 Bravopilot I'd use covers if I wasn't so lazy. clubs are not cheap. You're going to want to cover those satin PXGs. They're gorgeous 👍
Bravopilot sdandrea1 They are taking the long route to get here. Now outside of Chicago.😎 But, I agree,
rsvman2 I am going to buy some iron covers to protect my Srixon ZX-5s during their plane trip to Missouri in October. I don't think I will ever have them on the clubs when I am playing, but I have seen how they handle people's bags.
garyt1957 rsvman2. You need an iron cover for your bag from some of the videos. I've been lucky. I have one of those Bag Boy bags with the hard cover. After 5 years they finally put a little Crack in the hard top but it still works.
Walterjn KCee I believe that this is the best/ only use for iron covers. My clubs live in the front seat of my truck. I do have them covered with a jacket, yet they still manage to chatter as I drive. I've had to reach over and rotate a few heads so they stop. I have thought about getting a set of iron covers just for transport use.
garyt1957 I never understood the disdain for iron covers, like they're unmanly or something. If you like them use them. And I'm a guy who doesn't use any covers other than driver..
Par4QC People will spend half a day washing/waxing their vehicles. Then you see those same people playing golf with dirty, beat up new/er/ish clubs, in torn/ripped up bags, using scuffed, dirty balls. Telling.
Taki27 I use iron covers. Leave them on my clubs as I roll into the course and then when I use an iron I just throw them in a pocket until after the round. Get funny looks rolling up to Bethpage Black with iron covers but who cares?
Par4QC Taki27 Anything forged or soft steel, I'll use covers on every other one in bag. EVERY driver/FW club has them at all times. And esp. any putter. Sitting here looking at these Adams DHY's sticking up in the bag and thinking....who gives an F? No covers.
fatshot I use iron covers if I'm riding a cart to stop them from rattling around.....if I'm walking with the 3 wheel push cart (which is most of the time), no need them, IMO.
sdandrea1 I played 18 yesterday with a PING K15 head on a @LogicalOne Leveler wood shaft. It's heavier than my Aldila Ascent 40, obviously, but I did like the performance. I was able to hit it straight and just as far as the Paradym X. Feels good, ball goes as far as I can hit it!👍
