Hey guys, long time no post. I see a lot of familiar names from the old FGI days.
I used to know this, but have forgotten since I haven't been messing with equipment for quite a while. My question is, I seem to be hitting my driver towards the heel about 80% of the time. Even if I set up towards the toe, it end up hitting about 1/3-3/4" toward the heel.
Now, I know that this is caused by a swing fault. But I'm doing it consistently, landing in the fairway and my distance isn't terrible (for an old fart). I'm getting (with roll) 210-220 yds off the heel. On the rare occasion I hit it on center, I get an additional 15-20 yds. So I'd like to not mess with my swing if I can do something with my driver to compensate. Years ago, I had a component head that I could add weight to like an R7. I messed with different weight combination until I had it so I could hit in the center the majority of the time. Problem is, it was so long ago I forget what I did.
It's a Cobra F9 9.5% set at 10.5* with the stock R flex shaft. The heavier weight on the sole is in the back to help with forgiveness.
Any input would be appreciated.
