          Re: Acer XS irons. I built a set of these with the Acer Velocity (orange) shafts. I liked them... a lot. In fact, I haven't been able to talk myself into selling them. I don't use them as I replaced them with my Adams New Idea irons. The Acer XS irons are very forgiving and do hit quite high. The hybrids actually hit higher than the Adams New Ideas. I have the #3, #4 and #5 hybrids as well as the 6-PW and SW. I also have a #5 iron head that I used for display purposes and always felt that I could build that if I sold them and whoever bought them wanted a 5 iron as well as a five hybrid. I'd hate to sell them but probably will, either this year or next, especially if I decide to buy a new set of irons. I've been looking at Cobra Fly-Z's and Cobra King F6 irons. I'd love to have a set of Callaway Steelhead XR's, but I'll never pay what they are currently asking for them.

            I like the looks of the XS best.

            I put my Acer XV HT irons in the bag today and now remember how good a club this is. Love the gayazz blue graphics and the 85g Penley graphites. Gonna bag them in my league match tomorrow.

            LBlack14 Those heads were originally meant to be single length heads which all had the same size face, but Integra scrapped the idea and instead just made them with all the same size face and standard progressive weights & lie angles. Kind of a weird head, if you ask me. The 3 iron is VERY hard to get up in the air due to the extremely high CG caused by the tall face and narrow sole.

                Yes. I can hit the 8 thru W pretty good, but the rest are OK on my best days. They are good to practice with. Rambo training!

                  I have been researching the same thing. Here is what I have found:

                  They are wide soled. The XV has wider soles, but less bounce. I decided that I would go for the XS simply because I often hit slightly "fat", and I have been known to suffer badly using lower bounce irons.
