Thanks Steve. I remember when I took a clubmaking class at The Golfworks, they has some kind of clamping device that was a vertical rod with a clothespin-like clamp that attached to the upper part of the shaft to hold it rigid in place until the epoxy set up. I don't see it in their catalog or online anymore, but I was thinking of some kind of setup with a dowel rod and a clamp attached to it......
PS. Those are really nice wooden headed putters your and Rex got from Tim Hewitt. I think they are made by Louisville Golf. We were at the Toledo Golf Show this weekend, and I talked with this guy out of Columbus for quite a while. He hand makes some BEAUTIFUL wooden putters and amazing feel! Even SWMBO was urging me to buy, but I exhibited surprisingly good sales resistance (for once)!!!
