Typhoon I'm not so sure that the 'limit' was not hit a couple years ago. Not a lot more they can do with club heads. Most all are high launch, low loft, accurate (as the user is). Main thing now is imo, they are going for 'looks'. Irons are really nice to look at and I think that is mostly why people keep chasing, like women. Shiny objects and all attract us li'l kids. š
All OEMs must do something about their horrible choices of stock shafts though. I'm finding them to play too soft even for my nasty swing.
But, they are not making better golf scores. Not for me anyway.
I get the same enjoyment from the game playing something no one else would put in their bag. And I find I'm scoring the same, sometimes better. I'm in process of making a kind of 'old school/older days' (from 20+/- yrs. ago) bag to play next week. SMT/Nike/Cleveland woods + generic irons, with Grafalloy, Harrison & Precision shafts/Karma gripsš².
