Rickochet backinit Big Spenda! Nothing it too good for her so no expense is spared. We will be married 38 years on 8/23. Dang, that is half of my age. ðĪŠ
Bravopilot Rickochet I think the key here is "a little was missing", I do hope she continues to improve. Then on to real wine.ð
SMT Rickochet I have never had a sip of any alcohol but how about... "Two Buck Chuck"? That would maybe be $12 shipped
Rickochet SMT I have never had a sip of any alcohol but how about... "Two Buck Chuck"? I tried some of that about 20 years ago and it was $4 then and tasted like a $2 wine. Yuck. The "Blend" it shows on the label must include some horse manure. ðĪŪ
Rickochet propman Ever consider a Riesling? It's my wife's go to. I don't know a Riesling from a Ringling but I'll take a look next time at the store, thanks. She took a second glass of the Bay Bridge last night so that is a good sign that she likes it. ð
Rickochet azgreg Nothing like a good box of wine. I used to buy a box wine Franzia Sunset Blush. I would mix it in a tall mug of ice with sugar free 7 UP or ginger ale. Makes a good refreshing summer drink.
propman Rickochet ð I know very little about wine as well. FWIW, the Riesling she favors is Chateau Ste Michelle. It's inexpensive $6 to $8.
Rickochet propman the Riesling she favors is Chateau Ste Michelle. Krogers has that in a 750ml bottle with two versions of Riesling. One is a sweet red and the other is a white. $10.99
propman Never heard of a red one. Here in Chicago area, there are 2 versions (both white). Riesling ($6) and Dry Rie ($8) for 750ml
Bravopilot Rickochet How is the wine experiment going for the wife? All good, she join a wine club yet?
Rickochet Bravopilot How is the wine experiment going for the wife? All good, she join a wine club yet? Very good. She has a small glass of the Bay Bridge White Zin each night before bed. She has emptied the first 750ml bottle and I got two more. ð
