I have been going to the same GP doctor office for about 15 years, maybe longer. I was not satisfied with the Dr. I had at the time and saw a pic of a new young doc opening a new practice so I went there and am still there. It is (was) a small town office and has 3 docs and one PA and was listed as Eastside Family Medicine. A few months ago we get an announcement that it had been purchased by Centerwell Health and will now be known as Centerwell East Senior Care. You have to be at least 60 and have one of the insurance plans they use. Under 60 or don't have their plan and they have to look elsewhere. The signage has been changed and the inside is being totally remodeled. Being 74 age is not an issue and I read where Centerwell might have some Humana affiliation so my Humana Medicare plan should fit it well. I just don't know if this is good or bad. I hate to see the doctors get pissed and leave. I guess I will wait and see. Anyone had anything similar happen?
