When I was 17, a friend and I went to see Ali vs Foreman fight at the New Haven coliseum on closed circuit TV. I was a big Ali fan and the way Foreman was destroying fighters, many thought he would be a victim too.
Never forget all the people in attendance standing on their seats, chanting “Ali, Ali “ after the end of the fight. Incredible spectacle that I was happy to be a part of.
Learned to love Big George. Tremendous family man, pitchman and person.
