Not like they had to worry about medical bills as a reason not to go. She really decided to just not do anything and wound up dead knowing her husband had Alzheimers?

Nowhere during the course of these symptoms did she reach out to anyone or seek care? Ludicrous to me.

Yipsy The early symptoms go with a few other illnesses also. Easily ignored, esp. in these days of Covid and Flu viruses. iirc, symptoms can worsen considerably within just 3 days. Then it can be too late.
She did have more important things(Gene) to worry about other than how she might be feeling 'a little under the weather'. 1st reports said Tylenol was spilled on the floor, so....
That report also said heart medication, but has now been stated as thyroid medication.

Nothing much else to see here.......

I'd like to see what percentage of the few HPS deaths are among people who just had it sneak up on them and never sought care. I will bet she is the only one and she had means most people will never have access to.

The story is ludicrous but it will rest as the official record.

This sounds like something that would easily have taken me out. With my own lengthy history of sinus issues/infections … all the symptoms and stages of progression of this would have too closely matched until it was too late.

Reality is just out of some people's grasp. They don't realize how often this really happens. I just responded to one a week ago or so. Flu, been deceased for at least a couple days.

I love this. Had to edit Gene's wife into this due to the official story. The woman with the most means of any of the death victims of HPS doesn't die in the hospital. She just never bothers seeking care. The wife of the rich and famous just died at home. Makes great sense.

Gene had 3 kids. Nice job checking in on your 95 year old dad.

I grew up in a semi-rural city that is surrounded by vast unspoiled wilderness , forests, lakes, rivers and many friends had cabins/camps that they used for get aways to hunt, fish, play. We'd often go to one to do the above or party etc. these places were always overrun by mice in winter and in the spring there would be droppings and such everywhere. Parents always told us to wear gloves and a mask and have the doors and windows open when cleaning up and to use bleachI assume it was for this reason

Doubtful. When one’s had these infections as often as I have, you get used to feeling like you’re going to die, and you just ride it out. Too many visits to Doctors over the last 40 or so years, have taught me that if I use any/all of the various recommended nasal sprays/decongestants and/or Neti devices it’ll still take two weeks to resolve … otherwise it’ll last 14 days.

She was his caretaker. And everyone says how close they were even being together for over 30 years.

She's not going to leave his side. It's just that simple, but hard for some to think or believe. Plus the fact no one can say what her personal mental state might have been. She was not a 'young chick'. And with thyroid pills and Tylenol scattered about, it shows someone had other health problems also.

If anyone in that house killed anyone else, it was Gene that killed her. Is that better for your head?
And yes.....it would be covered up....why not/what harm???? He wouldn't have even known he did it.

The truth is always as we 'know' it. And we only know things about this by 2nd hand knowledge. Thus, it is true. As we 'know' it. There is only 1 report, only 1 autopsy results explanation. 😉 And there has been no contesting of either.

Oh, I have plenty enough means. I wish throwing some cash around would help! That’s not the issue. What you’re not grasping is that when you’ve had the same issue/symptoms 100 or more times, your first, second, third, or even twelfth impulse is not to dial 911. Same is true for someone with a runny nose. It could be the first symptom of something fatal … not just a seasonal allergy, or the “common cold”. Do you dial 911? Or just make sure there’s plenty of Kleenex in stock? It’s easy to second guess on what she should have done, but what she did do was probably okay in 99.99% of the cases (given symptoms prior to it being “too late”, rarity of Hantavirus, and typical treatments for even that).
The official explanation, given the timeline of deaths and presence of the Hantavirus, in my opinion (and experience), is highly plausible. Maybe less so, for someone who goes to the ER with every cough, sniffle, or body ache.🤕

I'm not suggesting Gene killed his wife. I have no idea what happened in that home.

What I do is question the official story. Official story doesn't mean true story but I think most people believe it does.

To think this story happened the way it has been reported is as I've said before a few times, ludicrous. What's wrong with saying the story is ludicrous when it is?

In a situation like this it would be better to say we don't know what happened but this is what it looks like but the public craves official stories that paint absolutes in minds so they feed the public what it wants and expects. It is far from an absolute that the official story is the true story.

If you honestly believe because she was his caretaker she wouldn't leave his side then she was an abysmal caretaker choosing to die and not letting anyone know her status leaving Gene to fend for himself with a dead wife. All of this is so illogical to me but the official story just cements it for the public.
