Old Kangaroo Lil Joey Electric Manual Cart

The old late 80's Lil Joey doesn't look like much but it works for this old walking golfer. I put in a new battery and purchased a charger. It's manual doesn't have the bells and whistles of the big boy new ones but it was FREE! 😀

I walked 18 with it with another buddy who has a MGI Navigator remote. He remarked I can't believe that old lil thing can work as well as it does. Simple, stripped down and works. Kind of like my golf game. I took 12 clubs blasphemy! Shot 81. ☺

scotts33 I have a higher end model with a remote and honestly I don't use the remote anymore. Our course is so hilly and sloping that using the remote means you're constantly steering it. The pine cones and everything else make it that much worse. It's just easier to keep a hand on it and guide it.

A couple of guys at my club have ones that "follow", but they said the follow feature is unreliable and the fact that even our fairways aren't remotely level throw it off too much. One player does have a model with remote and follow that seems to work quite well, but it was 3X the price of mine. It's too bad my club won't get some to rent, but hardly anyone at my place walks so it would be a waste.

Yahara Hills. Madison City courses. Course built in the mid 60's for power cart golf long distance between most greens and next tee. I walked over 6 miles. It's being taken to eventual 18 in 2 years. It's 36 now East and West course. The East is the better of the two and of course they are going to take most of the East 18. Back 9 of East end of this year.

scotts33 I think that's the one right off the highway if I remember correctly.....played it as part of my cousins bachelor party! Keg of beer back at his place....and then the strip club/s (which I skipped).

Bravopilot I have a friend who has the Alphard V2 and he likes it. He was all in for $600 unsure if it was on special or what. In my limited use I find walking with the Lil Joey a bit more freeing than actually pushing a push cart for whatever reason it must be in my head. ☺ I think I am more upright walking with my chin up more looking at the horizon than down to the cart handle. My Lil Joey is very straight doesn't veer a lot.

I’ll add to the positive review of that set up. A golf bud has the same setup and it works well.

Bravopilot A few guys at my club have the Alphard and like it. They did say the follow feature was iffy, but they've had theirs a while so maybe it's improved.

I have a Motocaddy, one buddy has an MGI and another has the Kam Kaddie. All seem to work well. Mine does climb the steep hills better, but I think mine just has better wheels with more traction. My buddy got the Kam Kaddie on sale for $550 shipped which was probably the best deal.
