One guy who was snubbed for years was Larry Nelson and he never got a chance. He had an excellent Ryder Cup record also. Something about his personality being too bland as I remember hearing.
Bottom line is with any coaching you need to have the players. A good coach can motivate / coach and get a bad team to be better. But if you donβt have the players you can only go so far.
Also, I said this before. Iβm not that nationalistic when it comes to the Ryder Cup. Many of the European players live here in the U.S.. And I like many of the European players. The Ryder Cup is a great exhibition match with a lot of history.
I happen to like Keegan Bradley because heβs from my neck of the woods and what was done to him was wrong. Again, I love the pick.
